Biography
As a senior attorney, Crystal’s focuses on families going through divorce, including military divorce, child custody disputes, child support issues, enforcement cases, Prenuptial/Post Nuptial Agreements, and adoptions. Crystal has significant experience having practiced family law exclusively for 23 years. Crystal is licensed in Texas and is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. A graduate of St. Mary’s School of Law in 2000, she attended law school while working and raising children as a single mom. She believes an example was set for her daughters that hard work and focus will win the day. Crystal, as a former military spouse, knows challenges and feels her strengths including her insight and ability to adjust to change give her the right amount of perspective. Crystal understands that her clients, during significant life changes, deserve compassionate and effective legal representation. “I believe that everyone has a story and needs to be heard.” Crystal is an artist as well as an attorney, giving her a creative and intellectually balanced approach to life and her practice of law. Crystal is married to a marriage and family therapist. She feels this gives her extra insight into the complexities of divorce and child custody issues that clients experience. She is also a proud grandmother of twins.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Joe Lassen served as a police officer with the New York City Police Department and retired as a Lieutenant after 20 years of service. He received his Bachelor of Science in 1993 from the John Jay College in Legal Studies and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2002. While in law school, Joe worked for the NYPD’s prosecutor’s office, handling high profile corruption cases. Joe was a first responder on September 11th at the World Trade Center and shares a special affinity for all military branches and first responders.
Joseph Lassen started practicing law in 2003 in New York and New Jersey. He was later admitted to the Texas Bar in 2014. During this time, Joe has primarily focused on divorce, child custody, child support, and numerous other family law matters. He has helped countless families navigate difficult circumstances with compassion and understanding, while still aggressively advocating for his clients in court. He is experienced in all areas of practice including trial, mediation, and settlement negotiation. Before opening his own firm, Joe worked for one of the top personal injury attorneys in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, and also in a high-volume family law practice in San Antonio. Joe determined he could provide more personalized service and devote a greater amount of attention to his clients in his own firm.
His memberships include the Texas Bar Association, San Antonio Bar Association, and New York Bar Association. Joseph lives in San Antonio with his wife, Robyn, and their four sons.
